Wedgwood is one of the oldest and most celebrated names in British ceramics, founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood in Staffordshire, England. From its earliest days, the company set itself apart through a commitment to innovation, scientific rigour, and design excellence — qualities that earned Josiah Wedgwood the title of "Potter to Her Majesty" and established the brand as a benchmark for quality that endures to this day.

Wedgwood is perhaps best known for its iconic Jasperware — the unglazed stoneware in the distinctive Wedgwood Blue, adorned with white classical relief decoration — which has been in continuous production since 1775 and remains one of the most recognisable ceramic designs in the world. Equally celebrated is Queen's Ware, the refined cream-coloured earthenware that Josiah developed and named in honour of Queen Charlotte, which brought elegant tableware within reach of a broader audience for the first time.
