Ludwick Fiedorowicz Jaskry Rosaline Pressed Glass Fruit Bowl | Polish Art Glass
A fruit bowl need not disappear beneath the fruit. With its sculptural pedestal and luminous rosaline pink, this vintage Polish design gives an everyday object the presence to stand alone — a reminder that useful things can also be worth keeping for their beauty.
Designed by Ludwick Fiedorowicz for Zabkowice Glassworks in Poland circa the 1970s–1980s, Jaskry combines architectural form with delicate pressed detailing. Perfect for seasonal fruit on a dining table or a considered addition to a sideboard display, it brings colour and height without needing an elaborate arrangement.
Fiedorowicz’s designs are celebrated for their balance of mid-century modernist form and traditional Polish glassmaking technique. A classic of Polish glass design, Jaskry is rare to find, especially in Australia, and holds particular interest for collectors. Its rosaline hue is equally lovely in an Easter setting or as a year-round sculptural centrepiece.
