Dense, opaque milk glass like this has a weight and softness that pressed imitations never quite manage.

Made by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia, this is a generous-sized example of the hobnail pattern the firm is known for. The sharply moulded studs give the white glass real texture and dimension, while the wide 16 cm mouth and heavy 760 g build keep it steady under full floral arrangements. Perfect as a statement centrepiece on a console or dining table, and a considered addition to a milk glass collection; it sits just as comfortably in a clean modern interior as a cottage-style one.

Details

Maker: Fenton Art Glass Company, Williamstown, West Virginia, USA

Pattern: Hobnail

Era: c. 1970s

Dimensions: 14.5 cm high; 16 cm top opening diameter; 10.5 cm base diameter

Weight: 760 g

Material: Opaque milk glass

Marks: Moulded oval Fenton logo in the base (Fenton began marking its glass in 1970)

Condition

Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, fleabites, cloudiness or hard water stains to the interior or exterior hobnails.

The photographs form part of the condition report — please review all images carefully before purchasing.

Care

Hand wash in warm, soapy water and dry thoroughly.
