This grand old dish solves it with a T-shaped divider and nearly a kilogram of hobnail milk glass authority.

Made by the Fenton Art Glass Company of Williamstown, West Virginia in the 1960s — the era before Fenton began stamping its milk glass, when a foil sticker was all the introduction it needed — one long channel runs its full 31.5 centimetres, made for celery stalks or a regiment of crackers, with two smaller pockets alongside for dips, pickles and olives. Radiating fan-rib handles cap each end, the deep sides are clad in crisp hobnails, and the rim is crimped into a gentle scallop. Perfect for grazing spreads, holiday tables, or anyone whose entertaining style leans gloriously retro.

Beautifully kept — every hobnail sharp, bright and glossy from rim to foot.

Details

Maker: Fenton Art Glass Co., Williamstown, West Virginia

Pattern: Hobnail milk glass

Design: Three-part oval divided serving dish with fan-rib handles and scalloped rim

Era: c. 1960s

Dimensions: 31.5 × 15.5 cm; 5 cm high

Weight: 970 g

Material: Hobnail milk glass

Marks: Unmarked (pre-logo era)

Country of origin: United States

Condition

Excellent vintage condition.
