This sculpted Royal Albert Santa gives that familiar ritual a character of its own, a festive serving piece to bring out and enjoy year after year.

Released in 2009 as part of the Christmas Gifts series, the pedestal bowl combines a deep crimson interior with textured snow-white trim and Santa’s face peeking over the treats. His sculpted coat, black boots, green details and gold-coloured belt buckle turn a practical dish into a miniature Christmas scene. Perfect for wrapped chocolates, peppermints or nuts on a festive sideboard, it also sits beautifully among traditional Christmas tableware without needing a matching service.

Now retired, this design was manufactured in China to Royal Albert’s specifications. The clearly legible base mark reads ©2009 Royal Albert. Offered in excellent condition without its original retail box, it is a charming addition to a collection of the maker’s seasonal figural pieces.

Details

Maker: Royal Albert, part of the Waterford Wedgwood Royal Doulton group

Collection: Christmas Gifts

Design: Santa’s Candy Bowl

Release: 2009

Dimensions: 17 cm tall at the highest point; bowl diameter 16.5 cm

Weight: 659 g

Material: Glazed ceramic / earthenware

Decoration: Glossy crimson and white with sculpted Santa, black boots, green accents and gold gilded belt buckle

Base mark: ©2009 Royal Albert

Status: Discontinued / retired

Country of origin: China

Includes: One figural pedestal candy bowl; original box not included

Condition

Excellent condition with a high-gloss glaze.
